The Republican Debates – Well Refrigerated Beer Can Numb The Pain of Watching!
As crazy as it may seem, the 2012 GOP debates are found by many irresistible viewing! In fact, I have heard that some people – mostly fans of President Obama! – have taken to throwing the equivalent of tailgate parties to celebrate the events.
There is no denying there is a certain morbid attraction in watching the Republican candidates’ attacks of each other so frequently and savagely. Unfortunately, it is not helping the already low level of civility in modern America’s political discourse.
Personally, while I enjoy the debates, I find it helpful to have a supply of cold beers on hand to help me get through the most brutal parts without wincing at some of the insults and abuse engaged between the verbal sparring partners.
As a fan of ice cold beers – they help numb the pain! – It is important for me to have a super effective refrigerator. If you feel the same way I would advise you to consult refrigerator reviews before purchasing your next tailgate fridge.
A good quality refrigerator from a brand like Engel will keep a whole lot of beer cold next time you are hanging out with your friends watching the debates, plus it is easily portable! Now, while I would not recommend emptying the refrigerator each time you see a debate, it is certainly nice to have that option no matter where the party is!
While the Primary debates are drawing to a close, I fully expect the fun to start up again once the eventual winner starts debating President Obama. If you thought the attacks were brutal now, just imagine how bad they will be when both the Republicans and the Democrats are present on the stage.
I half dread it, but that same morbid fascination will ensure I’m watching those debates too – with a well refrigerated beer in hand naturally!
